Yes, I understand the avatar image is not of a blinking light. It is a notification or invitation though, I feel. It’s a reminder of how conventions can be easily upended (a notification). It causes the observant to pause and consider it (an invitation). It was taken in Florence, Italy. 

I believe that proper invitations and notifications are the beating heart of good advertising. They set expectations and deliver just the right amount of information.
